school was founded by four Lutheran missions: Evangelical
Lutheran Free Church of Norway; Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission; Lutheran Brethren China Mission, USA; and Norwegian
Lutheran Mission.

Four
national synods related to the above mentioned four missions
joined the Board of Directors.

Joined
ATA as an associated member.

Conferred
the B.Th. and B.R.E. Degrees.

a member of the Association of Taiwan Theological

Five
national Lutheran synods in
Taiwan
signed The Agreement for Enlarged Cooperation in China
Lutheran Seminary.

Sixth Lutheran synod officially joined the cooperation in
theological education.

Grassroots Mission Training Program, and completed
Faculty/Students Residence, and New Chapel/Classrooms.

China Lutheran Seminary Publishing House; Triumph Lutheran
Brethren Church became the cooperative congregation on

Graduate
School
in Luther Studies which offers M.Th. Degree Program; began

Bachelor and Master students at four CLS branch schools.

Construction Project for Theological Education and
Church
Resource
Center
began.

Theological Education and
Church
Resource
Building
was completed.

CLS
begins to serve as a base for theological education, para-church
ministries, a worship place for congregations, and a center
for retreats.

The
library holdings increased rapidly due to a series of
significant donations of personal theological libraries.

ATA
renewed the accreditation of CLS for another five years.

2011
|
School
History Room is established. CLS celebrated its 45th
anniversary and hosted the special activities for a week.

CLS
signed the sister seminary cooperation memorandum with
Lutheran Theological Seminary, Hong Kong.
The
Mission
Center
and the
Center
of
New Immigrants-Home
of Blessing start to operate to develop the ministry to new
immigrants from South-Eastern Asia.

2013
|
The
Institute
of
Luther
’s Study celebrated its 10th anniversary. The special
seminar of Dr. Hans Schwarz was held together with a sale of
coffee, second-hand books, and re-sell-it daily necessities.

2014
|
Dr.
Thomas Yu
retired and is honored with president emeritus status.
Dr.
Samuel Liu
is inaugurated to be the 13th president of CLS.

2015
|
Established
Doctor of Ministry Program; Added Biblical Study major in
M.Th. program; Updated the library system. Developed distant
education with the cooperation of the Ai Xue Net in the
grassroot program.
